Curious what the sexiest car is on the cheap, can be any nation of availability.
By on the cheap i'm talking a true grassroots budget. $10k or less. Cheaper the better.
Seen these for about $2000 in decent condition: (924/924s)
Might as well mention this as well:

I'm sure you could easily. Good candidate at the upper level of this price range.

Naturally Aspirated 944s can be had for $1-5k. Turbos for $4-10k. :)

Either a C4 or a C5 'Vette. Might have a bit of trouble finding a C5 under $10k, but I'm sure you could.

I'd say go with a 924S, 944 heart in a 924 body. The regular 924 is... not fast. Mine made 85HP when it was new in 1978.

I can't speak for the 924S, but I will tell you right now, the 944 is not cheap. It may be cheap to buy, but it's quite expensive to maintain unless you do ALL your own work. They're also easy to get carried away with.
I've also been told the Starion/Conquest is notoriously unreliable. This is just what I've been told. The 944 however is from personal experience.

Starion is not unreliable unless you mod it. Then it's only unreliable because the head can crack which you can easily replace for $300 with a foreign one that wont. Likely you will be buying a modded starion with this fix to begin with.

I've never actually had any personal experience with the Starion, although I've always thought about buying one. Problem is they're virtually non-existent in Canada.

Yes it would. I am 10 years behind in the US with my R32.

The car in the image is a 924, however I would rather take a 924S as well. I like the non-wide body on these cars and that 924 looks sexy to me.

I like the 924S more but I wouldn't pass up a good 944.
I have 2 cars already so wasn't really looking for myself more of a discussion/debate thread but if I want a 3rd I think that's the car I would buy.

I rarely see them as well. They were one of the few 80s asian cars NOT known for rust as well and i've never see a rusted one so they didn't fall to that either.
